Who Is Christopher Pair?
When people look at America, they find it hard to fathom that such a great country has issues with hunger. However, the sad reality is that there truly is hunger and there is a group of people who eat without knowing where their next meal would come from or what it would be. Christopher Pair is an example of this as he grew up in those very same conditions. Because he experienced the situation firsthand, it shaped him and has played a massive part in the type of person that he is to this day. Christopher was a grandson to a Mexican immigrant and a son to a sharecropper. This means that he came from very humble beginnings. The neediness was the standard in those days, and in an endeavor to break the cycle of destitution, Christopher’s father joined the military. He was in the military for quite a long while, and after leaving the administration, he returned home to accommodate the family as a gardener. As a child, it was common for Christopher to go without food. Whenever they had it, its nutritious value was very low.
Since the income was not enough to feed the family, they had to search for other ways to get money so they could afford food comfortably. One splendid thought they had was recycling. Christopher says that they looked for soda cans and sold them to recyclers. This money was used to put food on the table. The uncertainty that accompanied not knowing what they will eat made Christopher wish for a superior future and the best way to make that conceivable was to go to class and get some training. The experiences he had while growing up stayed with him all through and made him work extra hard. He wanted to give those people in the same situation hope and an opportunity to live better lives with access to good food. He joined the direct selling industry and later became the president of operations at a company called Plexus Worldwide, this position enabled him to be the change he wished for. He advanced this change by deciding to address an issue that he confronted and that a great many families continue to have in America.
The conditions that Christopher experienced childhood it could have kept him down, yet he did his most extreme best to defeat them, and he continues helping those in a similar circumstance to carry on with a superior life. What pulled in him to Plexus was how the organization was determined to help other people, and he perceived a device with which to make the change he wanted. Another partnership that brought his dreams closer to fruition was a partnership between Plexus and Feeding America. Through the association, the group endeavors to have an effect on the yearning crisis and want to free a huge number of families from its grip. A famous quote by him is “life is about more than what I need for myself, when we give, we find greater purpose and fulfillment”.
